Somalia’s National Security Advisor held talks with the heads of the African Union Transition Mission in Somalia (ATMIS) and the United Nations Support Office in Somalia (UNSOS).
Hussein Sheikh-Ali held talks with Head of ATMIS Souef Mohamed El-Amine and Dr. Aisa Kirabo Kacyira, the Head of UNSOS on Thursday.
Their discussions during the meeting revolved around Phase III of the ongoing drawdown of ATMIS forces in the country.
Furthermore, the three leaders also discussed the strategy for transitioning from ATMIS to Somalia National Armed Forces (SNAF) when the former finally leaves the country in December this year.
