The Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) is prepared to dismantle Al-Shabaab militants using the “whole government approach.”
Deputy Prime Minister Salah Jama announced this on Friday.
The Deputy Prime Minister was speaking at the Prevention and Countering of Violent Extremism Coordination Working Group Platform.
He added that the “whole government approach” involves targeting combat capabilities of the terrorist group.
Jama also stated that the government would target Al-Shabaab’s financial resources.
The terror group’s overall influence and ideological bases would also come under intense scrutiny during this phase of the operations.
