Somaliland President Arrives in Djibouti for 48-Hour Working Visit

Djibouti — Somaliland President Abdirahman Mohamed Irro arrived in Djibouti on Wednesday evening for a two-day working visit aimed at enhancing bilateral cooperation between the two neighboring nations.

President Irro was received with a warm welcome by Djiboutian President Ismail Omar Guelleh at the State House. The two leaders are expected to engage in high-level discussions focused on strengthening political, economic, and regional collaboration.

President Guelleh described the visit as a significant opportunity to deepen ties and reinforce diplomatic engagement. “This visit presents a valuable opportunity to strengthen collaboration and deepen ties between both parties,” he said, noting the importance of sustained dialogue in promoting mutual development and regional stability.

The 48-hour visit is expected to include meetings with senior Djiboutian officials and a review of existing bilateral agreements. Analysts see this trip as a reaffirmation of the long-standing relations between Djibouti and Somaliland.
