Somaliland has urged the European Union (EU) to increase its investments in the country’s telecom industry.
On Sunday October 11, Somaliland’s Ministry of Telecommunication made this request known to the EU Ambassador to Somalia, Nicolas Berlanga.
Abdiweli Ali Sufi, the Minister of Telecommunication, hosted Ambassador to a closed-door meeting during which they discussed several issues.
Ambassador Berlanga assured Sufi that the EU is ready to provide the telecom ministry with all the support it needs to implement new projects in the industry.
