Somalia’s Special Envoy for Drought Response held a meeting with a delegation from the United Kingdom in Nairobi.
The meeting between Abdirahman Abdishakur and the UK delegation took place on Wednesday, July 13.
Abdishakur is currently on an official visit to Nairobi, Kenya.
He met with a team from UK’s Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Office (FCDO).
Nick Dyer, the Director-General in charge of Humanitarian and Development, led the delegation from the UK.
They discussed how the UK could support Somalia as the East African nation carries out resource mobilization efforts for its people.
Abdishakur expressed gratitude to the FCDO representatives for reiterating the UK government’s commitment to the ongoing mobilization of resources towards drought.
