SSC-Khatumo has rejected the channeling of humanitarian funds through Somaliland.
Dr. Mohamed Shiine, SSC-Khatumo’s Deputy Leader, urged the Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) to deliver humanitarian and development funds directly to the region.
Shiine hit out at the federal government for treating SSC-Khatumo as being under Somaliland.
He reiterated the earlier announcement by SSC-Khatumo administration that the region intends to operate as one of the Federal Member States (FMS).
Furthermore, he called the federal government out for neglecting the region.
He added that the region would no longer allow anyone to ignore or overlook promises made to SSC-Khatumo.
