Three New COVID-19 Cases Confirmed in Somaliland as One More Person Dies

On Wednesday, health authorities confirmed three new COVID-19 cases in Somaliland. Officials also announced one more death.

With the additional death, the Horn of Africa nation now has two COVID-19 deaths in total.

Omar Ali Abdilahi, the Minister of Health, made the announcements during his daily press updates in Hargeisa.

Further, Abdilahi confirmed that all the three patients are in isolation in Somaliland’s capital where they are under observation and receiving treatment.

Currently, Somaliland has recorded 12 COVID-19 cases. Consequently, the government has initiated several measures designed to curtailing the spread of the pandemic in the country.
