The Transitional Puntland Electoral Commission (TPEC) kicked off its annual conference in Garowe on September 13.
Several senior regional state leaders attended the opening ceremony of the three-day conference.
These included regional and district commissioners. Senior officers of the regional electoral commission were also at the Monday ceremony.
Reports indicate that the commissioners and officers attending the conference will discuss several issues, which include TPEC’s achievements and its planned activities.
They will also focus on the training that the electoral commission’s personnel need to improve their skills.
