The government of Turkey has confirmed the death of one of its citizens in a car bomb attack that took place in Mogadishu on January 1.
Turkey’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs released a press statement confirming the death of a Turkish citizen in Friday’s attack.
During the evening incident, three Somalis also lost their lives.
These deaths were recorded after an Al-Shabaab bomber blew up a motorcycle laden with dangerous explosives.
Four other Turkish citizens were among five people who were injured in the incident.
The injured and the dead were part of a team working at a project involving the construction of a road from Mogadishu to Afgoye.
