Two ministers from the regional state of Puntland have been sent packing.
President Said Abdullahi Deni sacked the minister, Abdisamad Mohamed Gallan.
Gallan is the regional Minister of Security.
Deni also dismissed Abdiweli Hirsi Mire from his position as the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs
The President cited “underperformance” as the reason for sacking them.
Gallan has been one of the most influential ministers in President Deni’s administration.
His sacking comes at a time of huge political upheavals in the region.
