Unknown gunmen shot and killed a prominent businessman in Beledweyne.
Hassan Haji Dahir passed away after unidentified gunmen shot him in Howlwadaag, a neighborhood in Beledweyne.
The incident took place on Wednesday night.
Thus far, no person or group has claimed responsibility for the death.
At the time of his death, Dahir had been in charge of overseeing the ongoing renovation at Warabole Dam.
The dam prevents Shabelle River from flooding Beledweyne city.
