Hanifa Habsade, Somalia’s Minister of Women and Human Rights Development, has accused security forces in Southwest State of attacking her mother’s house.
According to the minister, her differences with President Abdiaziz Hassan Mohamed Laftagaren of the Southwest State are the cause of these attacks.
She claims that such a situation should not arise because she only differs with Laftagaren politically.
On September 15, Habsade stated that President Laftagaren should be held accountable in case the current situation deteriorates further.
In her views, President Laftagaren should deploy the military to flush Al-Shabaab militants out of the region instead of using them to attack innocent women.
