The African Energy Chamber (AEC) has issued a statement congratulating Somalia’s new Minister of Petroleum.
AEC congratulated Abdirizak Mohamed, the new petroleum minister in the Federal Government of Somalia (FGS).
Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre appointed Mohamed the petroleum minister a few days ago.
Last Sunday, the federal parliament approved the new cabinet, which Mohamed is a part of following his appointment.
AEC issued the congratulatory message on August 12.
In its statement, AEC expressed hope that Mohamed has the qualifications and experience required to lead the petroleum ministry.
