The African Union Transition Mission in Somalia (ATMIS) planted over 200 trees in Dhobley to address the effects of climate change in the region.

ATMIS troops from the Kenya Defense Forces (KDF) led the exercise.

Representatives of the local Dhobley community took part in the tree-planting exercise too.

The Deputy Commander of the ATMIS Sector II unit encouraged all stakeholders to join hands in improving the environment by planting trees.
