El Nino will introduce hunger that affects over 4.3 million Somalis.
The Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) made this startling revelation on Monday.
According to FAO, one in four people in Somalia are susceptible to hunger.
El Nino is scheduled to hit Somalia in the next few days and last up to two months.
Consequently, FAO has called for urgent humanitarian interventions.
It added that other factors could worsen the situation in Somalia.
Such factors include conflicts.
FAO also issued a warning regarding 1.5 million children in the country who are likely to suffer acute malnutrition.
