The World Food Program (WFP) has been forced to cancel life-saving aid for millions of Somalis.
Cindy McCain, the Executive Director of the United Nations WFP, revealed this shocking news on Tuesday.
She indicated that the organisation’s decision to cancel the lifesaving aid could have a detrimental effect on 2.6 million people in Somalia.
“WFP has been forced to stop it’s lifesaving aid to millions of people around the world,” said McCain.
She mentioned that WFP had to take this painful measure following reduced funding from its partners.
Other countries affected by this decision include Chad, Syria, Afghanistan, and Niger among others.
