Outgoing President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo of the Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) has invited regional state leaders from Puntland and Jubbaland to the ongoing elections talks.
The talks, which kicked off on February 21, are taking place at Villa Somalia.
On their first day, the talks started without the participation of the regional leaders from Puntland and Jubbaland.
Regional leaders from HirShabelle, Galmudug, and Southwest states were all at Villa Somalia for the meeting.
Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble and Mayor Omar Filish of Mogadishu, who is also the Governor of Banadir Region, were at the Sunday talks too.
On Monday, the Office of the President said that Farmaajo had invited Said Abdullahi Deni and Ahmed Islam Madobe of Puntland and Jubbaland respectively.
