Saynab Abdi Moalim, the wife of President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo, held a meeting with women who wish to vie for seats in the upcoming parliamentary elections.
The First Lady met with the female candidates on September 9 in Mogadishu.
During the meeting, which took place at State House, the First Lady commended the candidates and reminded them of the good leadership, patriotism, and creativity for which they are renowned.
Further, she stated that the women are excellent at their role of saving the community.
She told the candidates that each one of them represents all women in Somalia.
First Lady Moalim reminded the candidates, and those who will win their races, of the importance of working together for the good of all Somali women.
