Galmudug State’s Adado Town Elects First Mayor

Adado, a town in the regional state of Galmudug, has made history after electing its first ever Mayor and Deputy Mayor.

Councilors in the town elected their Mayor and Deputy Mayor on Wednesday, August 10.

Members of the newly formed council elected Abdihakin Mohamed and Farah Diriye as the new Mayor and Deputy Mayor respectively.

Immediately, the two new leaders were sworn-in.

Senior representatives from the local authority attended the colorful and exciting swearing-in ceremony to witness the historic event.
