The Inclusive Resilience in Somalia (IRiS) program is officially running in Somalia.
Deputy Prime Minister Salah Jama launched the program on Wednesday, November 23.
He commended the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) for funding the program in conjunction with the United Kingdom (UK) Aid.
Salah launched the program together with Larry Andre, the US Ambassador to Somalia.
While launching it, the Deputy Prime Minister and the US Ambassador listed its aims.
Specifically, they mentioned that the program would strengthen the livelihoods of marginalized groups in urban and rural areas of Somalia.
