President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud is scheduled to travel outside Mogadishu for the first time since getting into office.
The Somali President will travel to Baidoa and Dhusamareb this week.
While in the two cities, President Mohamud will lead reconciliation efforts in the two regional capitals.
Mohamud won the May 15 presidential elections.
A week later, he was sworn into office when ex-President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo handed over power.
President Mohamud will meet the warring parties from Southwest and Galmudug regional states.
