Newly graduated officers were sworn in to join the Somali Police Force (SPF) on Tuesday after graduating from a Mogadishu police academy.
They were sworn in at an event held to herald the opening of the 2024/2025 school year at the TURKSOM Military Training Academy in Mogadishu.
Somalia’s Defence Minister, Abdulkadir Mohamed Nur, was the chief guest at the event.
He reaffirmed the government’s dedication to building a strong and well-trained military.
Nur emphasized that the military would be fully equipped and prepared to defend the nation’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
This commitment is part of Somalia’s broader efforts to enhance its national security and counter the ongoing threat of terrorism.
