President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud boarded a Turkish navy ship that landed at the Mogadishu Port on Tuesday.
The President boarded the ship known as Kınalıada F514 to address its Turkish crew.
President Mohamud expressed gratitude to Turkey for the support that the European nation has offered it in protecting Somalia’s territorial waters.
The visit is in response to the Defense and Economic Cooperation Agreement that Somalia and Turkey signed this year.
He welcomed the crew aboard Kınalıada F514 into the East African nation.
