Roble Welcomes UN’s Call for Justice for Slain Spy

Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble has welcomed the call by the United Nations for justice for the recently slain female officer working for the National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA).

On September 12, the Prime Minister held a meeting with Amina Mohammed, UN’s Deputy Secretary General.

Prime Minister Roble then briefed the UN Deputy Secretary General on the progress of investigations into the death of Ikran Tahlil.

NISA claimed that Al-Shabaab extremists had killed Tahlil.

The slain agent’s mother and father have since rejected those reports.

Roble assured the UN Deputy Secretary General that he remains committed to pursuing justice for Tahlil.

He welcomed Mohammed’s assertion that the UN supports credible investigations into the matter.
