The Council of Ministers, during their weekly meeting chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Salah Jama, praised the regional forces of Somalia’s Puntland State for their courage and sacrifices in successfully defeating the Kharijite Daesh group, which had been operating in the Al-Miskad Mountains of the Bari region.
Recognizing the significance of this victory in the broader fight against extremism, the Council directed all government institutions to provide necessary support to the Puntland troops to ensure continued success in maintaining security and stability in the region.
