President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, during a Tuesday evening dinner with members of the bicameral Parliament, expressed the federal government’s commitment to opening dialogue with leaders of various federal member states.
Lately, President Mohamud has been the target of stinging criticism from President Ahmed Madobe and President Said Abdullahi Deni of Jubbaland and Puntland states respectively.
Consequently, Madobe and Deni skipped the ongoing National Consultative Council (NCC) summit, which kicked off on Sunday in Mogadishu.
This initiative aims to address and resolve ongoing differences between the federal government and these states, promoting greater unity and cooperation within Somalia’s federal framework.
The move reflects the President’s dedication to fostering stability and collaboration across all levels of governance.
