Dr. Fawziya Abikar Nur, Somalia’s Minister of Health, addressed the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) on immunization agenda 2030.
The health minister addressed UNGA via Zoom on September 23.
She was one of the panelists in the UNGA 76 discussions that revolved around health.
During her address, Dr. Nur spoke on the challenges the East African nation faces in its pursuit to immunize as many of the populace as possible.
Dr. Nur also discussed Somalia’s management of the COVID-19 pandemic and the vaccinations.
She spoke about the progress of the other non-COVID-19 vaccinations too.
