Today, in Mogadishu, Acting United Nations Special Representative James Swan emphasized the UN’s commitment to aiding Somalia in its efforts to eliminate violence against women and girls.
This statement came during the commemoration of the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, a global campaign aimed at raising awareness and sparking action to end gender-based violence.
Swan highlighted the importance of collaboration with the Somali government and civil society to create a safer and more equitable environment for women and girls across the nation.
