One hundred and sixteen prisoners were released from Mogadishu’s Central Prison on Thursday.
They were released following a presidential pardon, as per the communique from Villa Somalia.
President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud released them in honor of the Holy Month of Ramadan.
Other prisoners released as part of the presidential pardon were from Afgoye’s MBCC Prison.
