Somalia’s Ministry of Health announced that 119 new COVID-19 cases have been recorded around the country.
The tally is from samples collected and tested in the last five days.
With the new cases confirmed, the East African nation has now seen the number of people who tested positive for the deadly disease increase to 3,864.
Similarly, the Horn of Africa nation recorded 79 recoveries thereby increasing the number of people to have recovered from the disease’s symptoms to 3,089.
Fortunately, Somalia has not witnessed any new death, which means that its tally in this metric remains at 99.
Out of the newest cases, 83 are men while 37 are women.
Puntland is the highest number with 99 cases followed by Somaliland with 18 and Benadir region with 2 cases.
