Sixteen villages have been liberated from terrorists in military operations in Galgadud.
The state media reported on this on Thursday.
All the villages were liberated in the second phase of counterterrorism operations.
Further, government troops have destroyed 21 Al-Shabaab bases during this phase of the operations.
Government forces ensured that they destroyed all the terrorists supply routes as well.
The federal and regional governments have vowed not to relent until they destroy and eradicate terrorists from the region.
