Seventeen Somali nationals who had been in prison in Oman have arrived in the regional state of Puntland.
The 17 individuals arrived in Bosaso, Puntland on Sunday, June 26.
An Omani court sentenced 12 of them to 12 years imprisonment in 2010 after trying and finding them guilty of piracy.
The Somali Embassy in Oman fought for their release.
