2 Egyptian Military Aircraft Arrive in Somalia as Part of Defense Agreement

The arrival of two Egyptian military aircraft carrying personnel and equipment at Mogadishu airport marks the initial phase of the Defense and Security Cooperation Agreement recently signed between Somalia and Egypt.

The two nations signed the agreement a few weeks ago.

Egypt vowed to stand by Somalia and help to protect its sovereignty and territorial integrity.

This agreement is expected to enhance bilateral cooperation in defense and security sectors, with a focus on capacity building, intelligence sharing, and joint military training exercises.

The collaboration underscores Egypt’s support for Somalia’s security and stability efforts, reflecting a strategic partnership aimed at addressing mutual regional security concerns.
