Several people in the largest internally displaced persons (IDPs) camp in Jowhar have been diagnosed with a case of acute water diarrhea.
Airport IDP Camp is rife with the disease that threatens the lives of persons displaced from several parts of the region.
A report from the African Relief and Development ((ARD-AFRICAN) paints a gloomy picture for the IDPs at the camp.
ARD-AFRICAN confirmed the breakout of the epidemic on February 20.
In its report, the non-governmental organization (NGO) claims that the epidemic is likely to rock the camp further due to the ongoing lack of clean water.
It also blamed climate change for the disease.
