Ali Yusuf Ali will serve as Somalia’s new Minister of Interior, Federal Affairs, and Reconciliation.
Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre announced Ali’s appointment on Sunday in a mini reshuffle of the cabinet.
Ali takes over from Ahmed Mohamed Fiqi.
The latter has been transferred to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation with immediate effect.
The foreign affairs ministry has lacked a substantive minister for several months now.
