Amb. Abdulle Urges Somalis to Seek Alternative Medical Care from Thailand

Somalis are being encouraged to seek alternative medical care from Thailand due to the high-quality healthcare services available there.

Jabril Ibrahim Abdulle, the Somali Ambassador to Thailand, issued this call on Thursday.

Amb. Abdulle said that Thailand has become a popular destination for medical tourism, offering advanced treatments, modern facilities, and affordable costs compared to many other countries.

The country’s healthcare system is well-regarded for its skilled medical professionals and a wide range of specialized services, making it an attractive option for Somalis seeking better healthcare options abroad.

This trend is particularly significant given the challenges within Somalia’s healthcare system, which is often under-resourced and lacks the capacity to provide certain specialized treatments.

By seeking medical care in Thailand, Somalis can access state-of-the-art treatments and procedures that may not be readily available in their home country.
