ATMIS Police Officers Complete EHA Training in Baidoa

The African Union Transition Mission in Somalia (ATMIS) police officers completed an Explosive Hazard and Awareness (EHA) Training in Baidoa.

Several ATMIS police officers were at the training, which ended on Monday.

Their trainers offered them practical demonstrations on topics such as convoy movement planning and countering complex attacks.

Further, they underwent training on improvised explosive device (IED) awareness.

The officers are now capable of identifying vulnerable areas and the different types of IEDs that militants use in different areas that fall under ATMIS’ jurisdiction in Somalia.
