A former Speaker of the House of the People who passed away in Mogadishu this week was honored with a state funeral on Saturday.
President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud led the rest of the nation in attending the burial of ex-Speaker Mohamed Sheikh Osman Jawari .
Ex-Speaker Jawari was laid to rest after receiving a guard of honor at Dhagaxtuur National Monument as a poignant tribute to the exemplary services he offered to the country in various capacities.
National leaders then gathered at Isbahaysiga Mosque for prayers.
Different mourners praised the contributions that ex-Speaker Jawari made in making Somalia a better nation for all.
