President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo has been asked to nullify all pieces of legislation approved or signed after December 27, 2020.
This recommendation was by Said Abdullahi Deni, the regional leader of Puntland State.
According to Deni, parliament’s term expired on December 27, 2020.
Consequently, any legislation approved and signed has no legal backing since a new parliament has not been elected.
Similarly, he asked for the rejection of laws approved and signed by Farmaajo post-February 8, 2021 when his term in office expired.
Deni said that these conditions must be met before the Federal Government of Somalia (FGS), Federal Member States (FMS), and other stakeholders can implement the September 17 deal.
