Hiiraan’s Jalalaqsi town is the scene of widespread despair and devastation today.
Shabelle River burst its banks on Sunday leading to floods that left the entire town submerged.
Residents were seen wading through the flood waters trying to seek shelter in safer grounds.
There is fear that more devastation could follow after the floods reached the town’s only bridge too.
It’s only a matter of time before the floods completely cover the bridge underneath.
Fortunately, authorities have not reported or confirmed any casualties yet..
