Souef Mohamed El-Amine discussed the security plans in Somalia once the African Union Transition Mission in Somalia (ATMIS) pulls out of the country.
El-Amine discussed these plans with Lt. Gen. Kayanja Muhang on Tuesday.
El-Amine, the Head of ATMIS and Special Representative of the Chairperson of the AUC (SRCC), met with Lt. Gen. Kayanja in Mogadishu.
Lt. Gen. Kayanja is the Commander of Ugandan Land Forces.
The two leaders also spoke about the ongoing drawdown of ATMIS troops from the East African nation. Thus far, ATMIS has reduced its forces in Somalia by over 5,000.
