A former President of Somalia has accused the federal government of failing to resolve the Las Anod conflicts.
Ex-President Sharif Sheikh Ahmed accused the government of President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud of doing next to nothing to resolve the conflict.
Las Anod town has been in conflict since early this year.
On Wednesday, ex-President Sharif called upon the federal government to push the warring sides to embrace dialogue.
Further, he urged all parties to end bloodshed as the first step in saving lives.
