Immediate former President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo has congratulated Hamza Abdi Barre on his appointment as the country’s new Prime Minister.
President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud appointed Barre the new Prime Minister on Wednesday, June 15.
Farmaajo, who lost the presidential elections held on May 15 to Mohamud, delivered his congratulatory message a few hours after Barre’s appointment.
He wished Prime Minister Barre success in his new role.
Ex-President Farmaajo said that he would be praying to Allah to ease the heavy responsibility that is on Prime Minister Barre’s shoulders.
