Incumbent President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo received his successor at Villa Somalia on Tuesday.
President-Elect Hassan Sheikh Mohamud visited Farmaajo at the Presidential Palace in Mogadishu on May 17.
Two days after Mohamud won a closely fought presidential election, the two leaders met.
Legislators from the House of the People (Lower House) and Senate (Upper House) elected Mohamud the 10th President of Somalia on Sunday, May 15.
Farmaajo is expected to officially hand over to his successor in the next few days.
