Federal parliament legislators meet on Monday to discuss various issues including the election of speakers and deputy speakers.
Legislators from the House of the People (Lower House) and Senate (Upper House) will hold the first joint session of the 11th Parliament on April 18.
According to sources, the newly sworn-in legislators will mostly discuss the timeline for holding elections of the Speaker and Deputy Speaker of each chamber.
The legislators formed a 10-member committee on Saturday during their first session.
Members of the committee are tasked with the responsibility of preparing for speakers’ elections.
