Federal Elections Implementation Team (FEIT) has refuted reports appearing in a section of the media regarding the ouster of its chairman.
According to reports, other FEIT members voted to kick out Mohamed Irro from his position as the Chairman.
The ouster reportedly took place on December 25.
Two local radio stations had reported that 15 members voted to oust Irro while 3 abstained.
Lately, the FEIT rumors of division have rocked the electoral body.
Its handling of the ongoing elections for House of the People (Lower House) seats has also come under increased scrutiny.
