Multiple sources confided to the press that the electoral team is currently meeting to prepare a timetable for the election of members of the Upper House.
This revelation is likely to rile opposition party leaders and politicians who have been calling for the reconstitution of the membership of FEIT.
Opposition leaders meeting under the Council of Presidential Candidates’ Union urged the Federal Government of Somalia to prepare free, fair, and all-inclusive elections.

According to sources, election for senators is scheduled to kick off in Galmudug before proceeding to HirShabelle and eventually on to the Southwest state.
