Floods and heavy rains in Somalia continue to claim more lives with each passing day.
According to the Somali Disaster Management Agency (SODMA), the floods, which are the result of the ongoing heavy rains, have claimed the lives of 118 people thus far.
Additionally, over 1 million people fled their homes as a result of the floods.
Several towns are also completely submerged in flood waters, as per the latest report from SODMA.
The situation has forced SODMA to send several rescue boats to different parts of the country to evacuate those affected by the floods to safer areas.
