Mogadishu, Somalia – The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Abdisalam Abdi Ali, received a copy of the credentials from the newly appointed Ambassador of Cuba to Somalia, Ms. Inés Fors Fernández, at an official ceremony in Mogadishu.
Abdisalam warmly welcomed Amb. Fernández and highlighted the steadily strengthening ties between Somalia and Cuba. He reaffirmed Somalia’s dedication to enhancing bilateral cooperation, pointing out that the robust historical bonds and common interests between the two countries provide a strong basis for collaboration.
The minister stressed the value of bolstering bilateral relations in fields of shared advantage and extended his best wishes to Amb. Fernández for her diplomatic assignment in Somalia.
This credentials presentation signals a fresh phase in Somali-Cuban relations, as both nations show willingness to promote cooperation and expand involvement in diverse areas.
