The German Embassy in Mogadishu has rubbished a “memo” lamenting on the inability of Somali ministers to express themselves in English.
For the past few days, a memo allegedly from the Embassy circulated on social media.
In the memo, Germany allegedly complained over the inability to communicate with the Somali ministers because of their limited understanding of English.
However, the Embassy termed the memo “fake.”
On Friday, the Embassy issued a statement saying that the memo had not originated from any of its officers.
It added that the person whose name appears on the memo left the Embassy years ago.
